Course details

This course is about eating well and keeping healthy if you’re staying at home more since the coronavirus pandemic.

Nothing we eat or drink can stop us getting coronavirus but having a healthy diet can help support our immune systems to function properly and help keep us generally healthy.

This course covers: 

Module 1: Healthy eating advice - the Eatwell Guide

Module 2: Healthy eating at home 

Module 3: Lifestyle and health

The course starts by reviewing our healthy eating guidelines, the main food groups and what it means to have a healthy, balanced diet in practice. The second module looks at how to overcome some of the challenges faced in eating well at home including choosing a healthy breakfast, healthy snacking and meal planning. The third module highlights two elements of our lifestyle that our research has shown are linked with health: sleep and physical activity as well as looking at our diet and immunity.

Each module includes a short test, providing you with feedback on your progress. No previous nutrition knowledge is required.

On successful completion of a final assessment, a personalised BNF certificate will be created (The final assessment may be repeated). 

This course will take approximately 30-45 minutes to complete. You can complete the course at your own pace – there is no time limit.
